Did my PCV system and now smoke

Started her up afterwards and plumes of blue smoke came out the exhaust :hissyfit: Is it just because it's burning s**t that was clogged up before, or is there something else!? It'll be running really rich because the ECU has been unplugged for hours and had reset itself (and it is) but the blue smoke is a concern. ta

I think it's stopped smoking now (I think), but, at the same time the dump valve releases, a puff of black smoke comes out of the exhaust. I don't think it used to do that before, I'm guessing this is rich running and fuel that is being chucked out, so what could be the possible causes?

It may just be due to crud being blown through after the fix. Give a few days of driving and see what happens. The car should re-learn after 10 miles of driving. In this time I would give it 'some' to blow it through.

it's had a 70 mile run before I posted my last post, so it was still doing it then. There is also still some smoke coming from the dipstick tube

Are you sure everything has gone back on nice and tight? Although thinking about it,,,mine didn't stop smelling for a couple of days afterwards.

oh yes everything is done up as it should, all torqued up to the right amounts etc
