Sample Rate Issues Mix Plus to HD

Hello I have a dilemma perhaps you can help: I have upgraded to the HD2 System from the Mix Plus System All of my Mix Plus Sessions were recorded at 24bits/48k When I load those session into my new Mac Dual 1.42 OSX Pro Tools 6.1 they are pitched down/play slower, slightly I might add. My playback engine says 48k but still this is happening. Any suggestions? Thank you so much in advance for your help. Maker

Check your sync source?? Are they the same from the MIX to the HD???

If you have a master clock, check what that is set to. If my clock is set incorrectly, Pro Tools will still display the original session sample rate.

I don't have anything sync'd up to my system. Only An HD 2 Syetem that is all. My old sessions from my old mix plus system are playing pitched down/slow (I Think) In my HD2. But the playback engine says it's palying at 48k just like I recorded it in my Mix Plus System.

The only way this could have happened is if you recorded the original session clocked externally to the wrong sample rate. Rail

Thank you for your help, but I don't have anything in sync with my system. I am running an HD2 System twith a 192 I/O hat is all. All of my sessions that were done in my Mix Plus System were recorded at 48k/24bits. When I open them up in my HD2 system they play pitched down or slower , even though the playback engine says 48k. Does anyone have a solution. Thank you in advance

Check to make sure that your 192io is actually showing 48k and also that the session itself is showing 48k. It sounds very likely that your system is currently running at 44.1k regardless of what you set it at. It would only sound slower if the material was trying to play back at a slower rate. If the files had originally been sampled at 44.1k by accident and now you were playing them back they would sound higher in pitch and be playing faster. Nika.
