Throttle not opening fully B21E 244DL

MessageAuthor

Not quite sure what a B21E engine looks like but assuming it is roughly the same as my B230E then you can remove the rubber piece that joins the air flow sensor to the throttle body. You could then use a mirror to look into the throttle body to see if anything is visible. If you can't see with the mirror then the throttle body will unbolt from the manifold easily enough, just 4 nuts IIRC and some hoses.

I'm not sure what fuel system your car has but noticed that the throttle doesn't open fully on my 940. I mentioned it (might have been in the 940 section ) and a few others had noticed it as well. Seems to be just the way the linkage works when adjusted correctly. In theory getting it to open fully should make the car faster but not sure if it works like that on Volvos

I'd suggest having a word with Mike Brace on rwdvolvos.org He knows a lot about the old B21's
